Later traveling throughout China, he surveyed and studied other martial artists and arts, ranging from white crane to western boxing, to further augment his understanding. Dismayed by what he saw as an overemphasis on stylistic forms, he refined what he had learned into methods for directly developing what he believed the essence of combat skills: to develop the body's attributes to unconscious and overwhelming levels. The Second Course of Yiquan - The second course of yiquan is a refinement of Wang Xiang Zhai's methods developed by Han Jingyu and Han Jingsheng. It enables the student to better understand the qualities he is developing and to objectively verify his progress, so that he may better guide his own progress and receive practical feedback on the success of his practice. Concepts are presented in a step-by-step manner that is appropriate for any level of skill, and training is tailored to the needs of the individual student.
