SILK (Scout in Linux Kernel) is a _(Linux) _(kernel) module which transforms a standard Linux *(OS) into _(Scout).

It appears that there is a fully functioning implementation which is part of _(PlanetLab|http://www.planet-lab.org) (an open, globally distributed testbed for developing, deploying and accessing planetary-scale network services). Both come from the University of Princeton _("Network Systems Group"|http://www.cs.princeton.edu/nsg/index.html), with SILK public release _("not available in early 2003"|http://www.cs.princeton.edu/nsg/scout/software.html).
