Brian Cantwell Smith, a *(person) who founded of a lot of work in reflective languages with his POPL'84 paper "Reflection and Semantics in LISP" consequential to his PhD works.

He has moved away from Computer Science to Philosophy. I (_(Fare)) couldn't quite manage to read his book "On the Origin of Objects". It demands that one be in the right mood/mindshape/whatever, and I decided that I couldn't invest the necessary time.
